RemortgageSaver uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, measure performance, and (with your consent) measure marketing effectiveness. This page explains exactly what we use, why, and how to change your choice at any time. We comply with UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

What are cookies?

Without consent, Google Analytics runs in cookieless ping mode — it receives anonymous, aggregated event counts only, with no cookies set and no individual user identification.
3. Marketing cookies (require consent)
Used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and (in some cases) to show relevant ads on other sites. Set only after you click Accept.
- _fbp — Meta (Facebook) Pixel. Identifies browsers for Meta advertising. 90-day duration. Third-party (Meta).
- _fbc — Meta (Facebook) click attribution cookie. 90-day duration. Third-party (Meta).
If you click Reject, Meta Pixel is not loaded at all on your visit — no cookies are set and no data is sent to Meta.

Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no consensus on how DNT should be interpreted, so we honour your explicit choice via the cookie banner rather than DNT signals. If your browser also has a "Global Privacy Control" (GPC) signal enabled, we treat it as a Reject by default.
Children

What are cookies?

What happens if I click Reject?
Google Analytics switches to cookieless ping mode (anonymous aggregated data only, no cookies). Meta Pixel does not load at all — no cookies, no data sent to Meta. Any existing _ga, _ga_*, or _fbp cookies on your device are actively cleared.
What happens if I close the banner with the X?
The banner is dismissed for the current session only — it will reappear on your next visit. No analytics or marketing cookies are set in the meantime. Closing with X is not the same as Accepting; only an explicit Accept click counts as consent under PECR.
How long is my preference remembered?
Six months. After that we ask again to ensure your consent is current — UK GDPR best practice is to re-confirm consent at least annually, and we re-prompt twice a year.
